Signing of a Strategic Cooperation Agreement Between the Areed Scientific Foundation and Sultan Zainal Abidin University in Malaysia

In an important step toward strengthening international academic cooperation, Sultan Zainal Abidin University (UniSZA) in Malaysia signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Areed Scientific Foundation. The signing ceremony took place at the university’s main campus, attended by representatives from both parties, reflecting their ongoing efforts to enhance higher education and scientific research.
The memorandum of understanding aims to enhance academic capacities and develop graduates through the exchange of expertise and knowledge between the two sides, with a special focus on graduate programs and academic collaboration that meets contemporary needs. The agreement also seeks to improve the quality of education through the exchange of academic programs aligned with global standards.
In his speech during the ceremony, Dr. Saif Youssef Al-Suwaidi, Chairman of the Areed Scientific Foundation and Secretary-General of Areed International University for Graduate Studies, expressed the foundation’s full commitment to developing and supporting academic programs by leveraging shared expertise. He emphasized that the scientific initiatives hosted by the foundation, such as the Areed Scientific Platform, Areed International University for Graduate Studies, and Areed Academy for Space and Astronomy Sciences, open new horizons for collaboration with Sultan Zainal Abidin University.
For her part, Professor Dr. Zuhaira Aref Abdul Qaddous, Vice President for Academic Affairs and International Relations at Sultan Zainal Abidin University, highlighted the importance of this partnership, which will significantly contribute to preparing outstanding graduates at the international level, providing them with new opportunities in technical and scientific fields that serve society.
Under the agreement, joint programs for graduate students will be developed, along with training opportunities for academics and students. Cooperation will also include publishing scientific research in prestigious academic journals, thereby enhancing the global academic standing of both institutions.
