A practical workshop on improving the functional performance of charitable and endowment institutions according to the Kaizen methodology.

The Endowment Studies and Development Association, in collaboration with the Urid Waqf for Scientific Research and Innovation and Urid International University for Graduate Studies, organized a practical workshop titled “Improving the Functional Performance of Charitable and Endowment Institutions According to the Kaizen Methodology” on Friday, September 26, 2025, at the Golden Dome Center in the Başakşehir district of Istanbul. The event was attended by Dr. Saif Yousef Al-Suwaidi, Secretary-General of Urid International University, who emphasized in his opening speech the importance of improving functional performance in charitable and endowment institutions to ensure the achievement of their sustainable development goals. He also highlighted the role of the Kaizen methodology in enhancing efficiency and innovation within these institutions in line with global best practices. Dr. Issa Al-Qudoumi, President of the Endowment Studies and Development Association and an expert in charitable and endowment projects, conducted the workshop, which focused on applying the Kaizen methodology to improve institutional performance. Dr. Al-Qudoumi discussed the significance of Kaizen in achieving continuous improvement and increasing efficiency in work environments through the adoption of quality and innovation practices, noting that this methodology is one of the most effective tools that endowment and charitable institutions can use to achieve sustainability and effectiveness. The workshop witnessed significant interaction from attendees representing a range of charitable and endowment institutions in Turkey and neighboring countries, where discussions covered how to implement Kaizen to improve administrative processes, enhance team performance, and develop the capabilities of staff in charitable and endowment institutions. At the conclusion of the workshop, the organizers emphasized the importance of continuing to hold such training events, which contribute to the development of institutional performance in the endowment and charitable sectors, thereby enhancing the effectiveness of these institutions in serving the community and achieving their developmental objectives.
