The Secretary-General of the Arid Foundation’s visit to the Nama Foundation and his meeting with the Foundation’s Director, Dr. Saleh Mubarak Baziyad.
As part of strengthening cooperation among international institutions to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, Dr. Saif Yousef Al-Suwaidi, Secretary-General of the International Arid University for Graduate Studies, paid a visit to the Nama Foundation, where he met with Dr. Saleh Mubarak Baziyad, the Foundation’s Executive Director. The Nama Foundation, which aims to be a leader in achieving sustainable development through institutional grants, works to empower targeted communities by providing high-quality, institutional grants within a supportive environment, in accordance with best international standards. Dr. Baziyad noted that the mission of the Nama Foundation is to empower the education sector and civil society organizations worldwide through institutional grants and partnership building, thereby enhancing the capacity to manage projects effectively and to measure outcomes accurately. During the meeting, discussions were held on avenues of cooperation between the International Arid University for Graduate Studies and the Nama Foundation to promote sustainable education and provide institutional support for educational projects across various fields. The possibility of offering institutional grants to students and researchers was also discussed, in addition to cooperation in the areas of project management and professional results measurement. Dr. Al-Suwaidi emphasized the importance of this visit in opening new horizons for cooperation between Arid University and the Nama Foundation, noting that institutional collaboration between educational institutions and organizations concerned with sustainable development would contribute to strengthening education and achieving developmental goals in different parts of the world. The meeting concluded with an invitation to the Nama Foundation to participate in the activities of the International Arid University, in a manner that enhances joint efforts to serve targeted communities and achieve sustainable development.
